Struktura etniczna Macedonii i jej przeobrażenia
Abstract
Macedonia is a country inhabited by 1 945 932 (1994) people and it is a mosaic in respect of nationalities living there. Beside 3 grup (Macedonian, Albanian, Turkish) there are 16 other ethnic grups. Such great national diversity being the result of history has become the background of present conflicts.
Percentage of particular nationality groups in Macedonia has undergone different changes since the World War II. While the percentage of Albanians, Moslems and Romans has increased, the participation of Macedonian and other etnic groups has decreased. Convergence of national groups concetration to historical setlement processes on those areas can be noticed on the spatial distribution of heterogenity ethnic coefficient.
